Jets QB Aaron Rodgers Reportedly Declares Intention to Play
Veteran quarterback faces being released next month and free agency at age 41
The New York Jets announced this month they plan to move on from quarterbackAaron Rodgers this offseason.
Rodgers flew to the team facility in New Jersey for a Feb. 6 meeting with the new coach Aaron Glenn and new general manager Darren Mougey, who informed him they intend to release him after the new league year begins March 12.
While there has been almost nonstop chatter on TV and the Internet since about potential destinations and the free agency market for Rodgers, the veteran quarterback has not publicly stated whether he plans to play or retire.
